My CD folder is named DFCD - you can name yours whatever you like, I just provided those names for reference. Make sure its outside of the game folder though - it won't work (for some reason) if both mounted drives point to the same folder.

I'm trying to install The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall with DOSbox and I follow the Bethesda PDF instructions up to the point where it says to type in 'DAG213' on the prompt, however when I do this, it says 'illegal command' and I haven't been able to proceed. The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall is the second game in The Elder Scrolls series, developed by Bethesda Softworks and released in 1996. In 2009 the game was released as freeware to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series. Before try to launch Daggerfall manually with DOSbox, you should use DaggerfallSetup which do all the work.

For example - if you have your game files located in a folder structure like this: C:DOSGAMESDAGGERFALL and your DOSBox drive C is mounted to C:DOSGAMES then you would create a folder C:DOSGAMESDAGGERCD (or DFCD, or whatever you want to call it) and put the extracted files from the download there. Then, the mounted CD drive in DOSBOX pointing to that folder will use it as a CD drive.
